What are university corridors and how do they work?
University corridors allow refugee students hosted in first-asylum countries to enter Italy legally on a study visa and complete a Master’s degree, with scholarships and community support. I have worked on the design and coordination of these pathways at the University of Padua and can support anyone who wants to build a new programme or improve an existing one.
What does “from access to belonging” mean?
Admission alone doesn’t make a university inclusive. The access-to-belonging continuum looks at the whole journey (recognition of qualifications, admission, housing, funding, academic support, community) so that international students don’t just enrol, but thrive and complete their studies.
What is trauma-informed pedagogy?
A teaching approach that recognises how migration and trauma affect learning, and adapts classroom practices (predictability, choice, safety, relationships) accordingly. My workshops translate these principles into concrete tools for teaching and professional staff.
