Projects and networks
Alongside my research and consultancy, I take part in European projects, communities of practice and networks that connect universities, NGOs and civil society around access to higher education.
Projects and consultancy

HEQUITY — Building Higher Education Quality InclUsIon PaThwaYs
An Erasmus+ project that strengthens cooperation on inclusion and diversity in European higher education institutions: it builds knowledge on effective DEI policies for migrants at administrative level, and supports capacity building among higher education staff and policy researchers.
My role: I contribute to the project as a member of the association Popoli Insieme.

FreeAC
FreeAC works to mitigate the loss of talent and brain drain in Ukraine by strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and EU higher education institutions, and by protecting the freedom of Ukrainian academia to research, learn, teach and disseminate. It also develops a post-war strategic outlook for an inclusive higher education sector within the European Higher Education Area.
My role: At the request of the University of Graz, I supported the Italian partner CESIE (an NGO based in Palermo), sharing my knowledge of welcoming activities and official procedures for Ukrainian students in Italian universities.

ARQUS: an Alliance supporting Refugees' right to a Qualified and Unique Study experience
Funded by the ARQUS European University Alliance, the initiative organises a day of reflection on refugee students at each partner university. The universities commit to spreading good practices and to stimulating dialogue on the importance of opening the doors of higher education to those in need.
My role: I coordinate the project and travel to the nine universities of the alliance, presenting my research and leading the debate.
Collaborative resources

Education trade unions for refugees and migrants. Module 1 — Introduction: migrants and refugees
A 15-minute MOOC produced within the Erasmus+ project “In and Through Education: Education Trade Unions Supporting the Inclusion of Refugees and Migrants (ETU4REF)”, which strengthens the ability of education trade unions to support the integration of refugees and migrants.
My role: I prepared the module at the request of the Global Campus of Human Rights, together with Prof. Paolo De Stefani.

Transforming Futures: Why and How Your Institution Should Champion Refugee Education Pathways
One of the final outputs of the EU AMIF project “EU PASSWORLD”, which widens complementary pathways linked to community sponsorship.
My role: At the request of Pathways International, I reviewed the first draft and contributed comments and quotes to the final version.
